Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) manages the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund – the largest single investor in the world. We now have a unique opportunity for a dedicated individual, with a can-do attitude, in their early career phase. We are seeking a Junior Advisor that will focus on handling external relations activities for the fund.

You will be part of a newly established team called “External Relations and Projects”. The team will be responsible for major communications projects and external relations activity. You will work on achieving our strategic goal of promoting subject-matter experts as spokespeople and speakers at conferences, universities and schools, and other relevant forums. Our aim is to build knowledge and trust to our key target groups in Norway and internationally, with a particular focus on younger target groups. You will work closely with our CEO and leader group to help them reach important target groups in an efficient and creative manner.

Your main tasks will be:

• Responding to all our incoming invitations to conferences universities, and schools.
• Make brilliant presentations and speaking points for our CEO and other in the leader group.
• Be responsible for our NBIM Teach Programme where our employees give guest lectures at top Norwegian and International universities.

The projects in the Team will have a particular focus on efficiency and AI. We expect you to use new tools to be able to work in an efficient and structured manner.
You will be part of a small team with highly skilled communication specialists that are responsible for all external relations activities for the fund globally. The role is a perfect fit for a young person who is a dedicated, hardworking and a fast learner.

What you will do
Contribute to all parts of our work with External Relations:

• Handle administrative tasks for the department.
  • Keep track of and respond to all our incoming invitations to conferences, universities, and schools.
  • Research and give advice on incoming requests.
  • Proactive plan and reach out to the key conferences we want to prioritise.
• Tech-savvy and efficiency
  • Find good and efficient solutions to handle large amounts of emails and requests.
  • Use new technological tools and skills to increase efficiency in the department.
  • Some basic programming skills is desirable.
• Presentations
  • Build and create brilliant PowerPoints (and storyline) for the CEO, deputy CEO and Chief of Communications.
  • Able to edit films as a communication tool in presentations.
• Plan and host external events in Norway and internationally
  
  • A particular focus on reaching a younger target group and students to ensure efficient communication to potential new employees.
  • Responsible for our guest lecture programme “NBIM Teach” in Norway and internationally.
