We are looking for a Staff software engineer to strengthen our team!
The teamis responsible for analyzing and refactoring legacy systems in the customer and co-owner domain, to develop new high-performance, scalable, and maintainable microservices using the latest technologies and best practices. Your day-to-day may look somewhat like this:

  • Solving problems and creating business solutions, creating a reliable and convenient infrastructure in the Customer and Co-owners/Member area.
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure systems with microservice-oriented architecture primarily in Go (Golang). Knowing C# (.NET) is also a plus.
  • Write monitoring tools, collect metrics, run calculations, and handle all other DevOps responsibilities.
  • Take part in roadmap planning as well as analyzing our current solutions, and deciding what can be reused and what we should develop in the future.
  • Aligning business goals and the technical strategy to design new processes and utilize existing and new technologies to reach our visions in the Customer and Co-Owner domain.

To succeed in the role, we expect you:

  • Have experience with designing, implementing, and iterating on new and existing systems using Go (Golang) on a good level (knowing C# and being willing to learn Go is also a possibility).
  • Have experience with developing APIs (REST, RPC) with microservice-oriented architecture in mind.
  • Prefer good engineering solutions and are knowledgeable of data structures, design patterns, and SOLID principles, capable of applying them in your work.
  • Have a DevOps mindset with knowledge of tools and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Spacelift with principles such as "Infrastructure as Code” in mind.
  • Take responsibility in mentorship and code reviews, being able to participate in architectural discussions, and taking an active part in making our code base excellent.
  • Are able to work on longer-term features, but also interleaved by shorter feature requests or fixes that need to happen more short-term.
  • Have an understanding of GDPR, privacy, and consent legislation.
  • Are able to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in the Coop (including General Engineering, other product teams, Designers, Quality, and Producers) to shape end-customer experiences and deliver value.

Our technology stack comprises multiple different technologies both in cloud and on-prem. Some of the most prominent and permanent parts of it are GitHub, GCP, Azure, Terraform, Spacelift, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, gRPC, SAP RFC, Go, and C#.

Formal requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with backend software development.
  • Higher education within relevant fields and/or relevant working experience.
  • Full professional written and verbal English. Norwegian is also a plus.
