BW Offshore islooking for an Engineering Manager (Topside) to join our Asset Performance team. This position is a key role in the team.
The successful candidate will report to Head of Asset Performance. The role plays a defining part in BW Offshores work related to tender and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies and is a central role in the Asset Performance teams Technical Assurance activities of execution projects and assets in operation.

The position is Oslo based but travelling will be required to locations around the world, including our offshore units.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Lead the Asset engineering team for specific projects and asset follow-up
- Overall responsible for the quality and timing of the engineering/technical deliverables as required for Asset Performance activities specifically
- Through a thorough understanding of technical solutions and how they are engineered, make fit-for-purpose Offshore Oil & Gas installations (FPSOs), reflecting the technical and commercial conditions of the contract. A good understanding of how they are operated and maintained is
- Responsible for defining key decisions for the life cycle design solutions and technical aspects of the asset, balancing the design to achieve the right risk / reward
- Act as a mentor and resource for engineering team, new employees, less experienced colleagues and consultants
- Ensure extensive interface with ongoing projects and asset operations teams as well as other departments such as commercial, legal, operational integrity and supply chain
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering
- Bachelors degree and / or long relevant experience may replace formal education
- Ideally 10+ years of relevant experience within the offshore industry
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience within the FPSO industry
- Experience from engineering of large offshore developments
- Experience from fleet/operations support
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of topside engineering for offshore installations
- Good understanding of engineering execution
- Well acquainted with all phases of engineering for a large offshore development
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Team player with the ability to lead
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to deliver in a high pressure, fast-paced project environment
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary / multinational environment
