Network Planner in Build & Deployment - Passive Infra.

Are you our new Network Planner – in Fiber and Site Infrastructure

Can you see yourself working in a company with a changing environment and with a lot of exciting tasks in pipeline? If so, we are looking for a Fiber infrastructure - Network Planner, which can strengthen our team in Norway. 

The position has an area of responsibility throughout Norway. Preferably you will work from our Fornebu Office, but it is possible to establish the position in either Tromsø or Trondheim where GlobalConnect also is located. You will join a Nordic fibre infrastructure planning team, with the primary focus of planning and building fibre network infrastructure in Norway. As the wider department has a Nordic responsibility, you may also be requested to support projects throughout Scandinavia and northern Germany. 

As our new Network Planner, you will be part of Build & Deployment – Passive Infra. Team. 

The team Builds and Maintain the Passive infrastructure of Globalconnect in our full footprint.

The team consist of 12 members located on Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany.

As Network Planner - Passive Infrastructure, you will be responsible for establishing and executing on the following responsibilities:

•   Project planning and management fiber project incl. cost control.

•   Ensuring the best possible utilization of the site infrastructure and ensuring that fiber network elements is developed/managed in the best possible way. •   Order fiber deliveries for building fiber infrastructure in core networks by using order management system (Sugar). 

•   Perform planning for building, re-construction and documentation work in Smallworld for fiber infrastructure.

•   Participate in GlobalConnect Pan Nordic projects.

•   Quality control of fiber infrastructure.

•   Move of sites incl. documentation etc.

•   Manage relevant external systems. (K-grave, Byggfakta, El-smart).

•   Participate in GlobalConnect Pan Nordic projects

•   Manege relevant external systems. (K-grave, Byggfakta, El-smart).

We are looking for a team player with a can-do attitude, a colleague who thrives in a changing environment and who is looking for a challenge beyond the ordinary - a person who wants and is able to make an impact. More specifically, we are looking for the following competences: 

•   Engineer or equivalent in relevant fields (broad relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education). 

•   Experience from installation, planning, documentation and establishing fiber infrastructure.  •   Expertise in how modern infrastructure is planned, realized and documented.

•   Experienced in handling the complexity of a site infrastructure.

•   Expertise by using Smallworld documentation system.

•   Person with commitment and willingness to update their knowledge with new competence through work experience.

•   Driver's license at B.

•   Well founded in MS Office.

•   Speaks and writes English on a decent level.

•   Experienced into the optical fiber world.

•   Open minded. •   Willing to travel in Norway or Scandinavia, if needed.

•   Have a well-founded knowledge in to optical fiber build projects with all its elements.

•   Speaks and reads English.
