We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented platform engineer to join our team at Gapit Nordics. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of technical tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure. This role involves managing day-to-day operational tasks, troubleshooting, maintenance, and updates to ensure optimal performance and availability of IT resources.

As a platform engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our network, configuring firewalls, and troubleshooting production installations. Additionally, you will design and implement network architectures, establish secure remote connections, and manage user access and permissions. Responsibilities:

•  Monitor systems, servers, and networks to resolve issues in real-time and minimize downtime.
• Manage system updates, security patches, and maintenance tasks.
• Ensure high availability of IT services through optimization and redundancy strategies.
• Implement and monitor security measures to protect systems and data.
• Manage backup and restore processes for data safety and retrieval.
• Configure and manage network architectures, firewalls, and remote connections.
• Maintain documentation on system configurations and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and optimize IT solutions.
• Assist customers' IT departments during installation and troubleshooting.
• Keep Gapit's products and services automated and efficient through technology exploration and implementation.
• Configuration and management of Wireguard.
• Installation and updates of Gapit systems using automated solutions.
• IT architecture consulting for customer setups.
• Monitoring the installation base using telegraf metric agents.
• Configuring, managing, and operating Linux systems, Docker containers, and virtual machines (Proxmox).
• Troubleshooting and incident investigation through log analysis.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Technical skills in programming, database systems, networking, security, and system administration.
• Experience with InfluxDB, Grafana, APIs, Linux, Docker containers, and network management.
• Proficiency in Scandinavian and English languages.
