Service Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Service Engineer at our Seatex division in Kongsberg Discovery to strengthen the team supporting our customers on all Seatex products.

In the role as a Service Engineer, you will be a part of the team contributing to making our customer successful in being operational in their business. Your workday will primarily consist of in Office repairs and support, where you will assist our customers with your technical competence.

Responsibility

• Provide technical support on Kongsberg Discovery`s full range of Seatex products and systems and conduct extensive troubleshooting on customer claims.
• Be a contact person in KD Customer Services for customers, both external and internal.
• Report problems and suggest improvements using KD quality tools.
• Participate in duty phone as on-call engineer.
• Support in lifecycle decisions and product maintenance, and work to optimize Service and Technical Support P&L performance.
• Travelling as required.
  
  

Qualifications and experience

• Experience from offshore/ships electronics.
• Electronic and or computer knowledge.
• Post processing of sensor data and quality checks.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
