Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are looking for Structural Engineers with experience from oil and gas. The scope of work for this project is to design, fabricate and install 2 offshore substations (OSS) and 2 jackets. The substations will be designed by our client, and the jackets will be designed by a sub-contractor.

Tasks and responsibilities

3D-modelling in E3D
3D-modelling and 2D-drafting in Tekla
Prepare Design/shop drawings incl. all information necessary for Construction to perform the work
Prepare weld log, production item list and MTO
Close cooperation with structural engineers
Liaise with other engineering disciplines, job preparation group, method and construction
Prepare job cards for prefabrication and onshore installation on basis from structural design, drawings, MTO, weld log etc.
Be responsible for sending red-line markups of job cards back to engineering when finished by construction.
Problem solving in the field.

Requirements

BSc of MSc in Structural Engineering or similar
At least 3 years' experience in offshore project work
Experience with E3D and Tekla
Fluent English is required, fluent Norwegian is preferred

This is a 1-year contract with good possibilities for extension, and our client would like candidates to start in July 2024. As a consultant with us, you will receive competitive benefits and regular follow-up throughout your assignment.
