Ground Transportation Systems Norway AS is a part of Thales. We are currently developing the next generation Traffic Management System (TMS) together with Bane NOR. As a System Operations Engineer you will participate in activities in IS-IT system operation, and your key responsibilities will be to:

• Manage day-to-day activities: services provided to internal or external customers, support to the system, and support to IS-IT
• Perform operations, anticipate operational problems and contribute to improve the system operation
• Continually improve the system and IS-IT, prevent customer issues, and manage corrective actions
• Optimize support
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, and comply with legal regulation

To be qualified for this role, you need to have the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• Min. 3 years’ experience in cloud operation
• ITIL experience
• Extensive knowledge within cloud monitoring, troubleshooting and corrective actions
• Experience with container environments such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with zero-downtime deployment of web applications
• Experience working with cloud providers
• Experienced with asset and user management
• Fluency in English is a must, written and spoken
• Fluency in Norwegian is advantageous
