On behalf of The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) we are looking for an HR Specialist Adviser for a full-time temporary position until March 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a highly regarded international humanitarian organisation. You will support their dedicated managers and staff at the Head Office in Oslo who are helping people forced to flee all over the world. They offer a unique experience within a large, international and competent HR team!  


What we are looking for:

NRC is seeking a highly qualified HR Specialist Adviser with expertise in various HR disciplines. Especially an in-depth experience regarding collaboration with unions, labour legislation, guidelines, standard organizational procedures, organizational restructuring, employment relations and handling disputes.


What you will do:

Some of your specific responsibilities include:
  • Be the focal point in the organization for collaboration and interaction with the trade unions and ensure strong and solution-oriented corporations between the parties
  • Be the professional expert and support at Head Office HR in labor dispute and organizational restructuring (AML)
  • Responsible for participation in discussions and negotiations with the trade unions
  • Preparation for negotiations in collective bargaining matters and meetings between management and trade unions
  • Together with our HR Partners, advice managers on HR issues and matters related to employment law
  • Update and further development of HR policy

What you will bring:

  • Preferred Master’s degree within HRM and/or employment law with in-depth both formal and experienced knowledge of the Norwegian Working Environment Act (AML)
  • Solid experience from tariff negotiations and discussions in cooperation between parties
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HR experience within an international large and complex organisation
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and oral
  • High degree of flexibility, structured, customer centricity, service attitude and ability to prioritize
