This position is part of the Aker BP Technology Team that sits within Business Transformation. Our Technology Team is responsible for managing Aker BP's corporate R&D portfolio and for supporting all technology efforts through ownership of Aker BP technology processes including evaluation, qualification, and implementation of new technology. We are also in charge of Aker BP's technology strategy and for driving the translation of Assets' top problems to solve into possible solutions.


As a member of our team, you will be part of a highly competent and engaged team working hard to drive, enable and support core technology efforts across the company. In everything that we do, we work together with highly capable technologists throughout the company to deliver Aker BP's strategic objectives.


We are currently on the look-out for the right team player to drive our efforts withing R&D portfolio management and to further develop processes and best practices to ensure our work with technology and R&D is ambitious, transformational and value oriented.


Typical work tasks can be:

  • Responsible for Aker BP R&D portfolio management process including project valuation, value realization and portfolio sanctioning.
  • Operate Aker BP R&D Council and provide guidance to R&D teams.
  • Ambassador for value improving, enabling and transformational technology. internally in Aker BP and externally.
  • As a key member of the Technology team, contribute insights on best available technologies (BAT), the potential of emerging technologies and technologies that will support Aker BP's low emission agenda.


Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher within a technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with technology, portfolio management, research & development
  • The successful applicant will be given the necessary training to succeed.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and drive cross-functional collaboration
  • Team player who actively promotes open and effective communication, and who is curious, proactively seeking advice from other and share own experiences
  • Fluent/good abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
