Technology Manager Casting

Hycast is a world-leading developer and supplier of foundry equipment for the aluminum industry. We have more than 60 competent employees, and are 100% owned by Hydro. The company is a separate limited company with its own board, and is organizationally located in Aluminum Metal, Commercial. Hycast is developing well with operations all over the world, and turnover in 2023 was approx. NOK 500. Of this, exports make up over 80%.

Work assignments

• Participate and lead projects for the development of new products in casting
• Be an advisor to others at Hycast during engineering and installation/commissioning at the customer
• Contribute within customer support and sales/marketing
• Handling of deviations related to casting technology
• Support management, line and project organization with risk assessments
• Keep up to date with market needs and competing technologies

Qualifications

• Master's in a relevant field, e.g. metallurgy/materials technology
• Relevant experience from casting and/or foundry
• Good understanding of process and technology within DC casting
• High focus on HSE and quality
• Competence in budgeting and cost monitoring
• Good skills in written and spoken Norwegian and English
