The offshore wind energy company Vårgrønn continues to grow and is seeking a systematic and analytical VP of Finance and Treasury to join the finance team. You will play a pivotal role in the company's continued growth by supporting, developing, and leading our financial function. 

Your main responsibilities will include guaranteeing the reporting activities of the company and its group, ensuring an effective financial strategy, and driving the preparation of crucial cash flow and balance forecasts. You will also work closely with suppliers and their banks, ensuring streamlined financial operations and optimal transactions. You will lead a team of finance professionals, and your expertise and leadership will be crucial for shaping Vårgrønn’s financial landscape. 

We are looking for a dynamic VP of Finance and Treasury who will contribute to the energy transition to renewable energy alongside us.

Responsibilities include 
This as a unique opportunity to govern financing, reporting, treasury, and cash management processes for Vårgrønn. The function will cover strategic planning and operational tasks to support an effective and sustainable growth of Vårgrønn. In addition to leading a team of professionals, you will collaborate closely and report to the Chief Financial Officer. 

Some key responsibilities 

• Ensure the preparation of the Annual Report and the periodic reporting in compliance with national and international regulations and standards and the preparation of periodic financial reporting 
• Manage all cash-flow aspects of the company, including preparing liquidity forecasts to optimize our financial health 
• Shape the company's financial strategy and decision-making and participate in ensuring financial stability through short and long-term financing and funding needs 
• Take the lead in handling (actively manage) all common forms of financial risks  
• Maintain healthy business relationships with suppliers and utilize your expertise to lead the collaborations with banks (and financial institutions) to ensure efficient financial operations and transactions 
• Take a lead role in contributing to the development and improvement of internal routines, processes, and models for financial management 

Experience and qualifications
To succeed in the role, candidates should hold a BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting, Economics, or Finance. It is required that you have deep knowledge in reporting under IFRS. A robust understanding of cash management, treasury functions, financial instruments, and experience in bank relationship management, is also essential.  

The ideal candidate has solid experience from similar roles, with a preferred background from the oil and gas industry, offshore wind, or the renewable energy industry. Background from banking/corporate finance is an advantage. 

We also see that you are either an experienced leader, or ready to take the next step in a leadership role. You must have excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
