Position Description
QIAGEN offers a broad and comprehensive portfolio of instruments and consumables solutions for Molecular Diagnostic testing. From manual and automatic extractions, PCR instruments, syndromic testing and high throughput systems for genetic disease analysis, infectious disease testing and women’s health samples. We have more than 6,000 passionate employees who care deeply about the impact of their work and have a determination to excel.
To strengthen our clinical diagnostics sales team within the Nordics we are looking for a Sales Application Specialist based in Norway who will work alongside territory Sales Account Managers to act as a portfolio specialist, shaping and aligning customer requirements with the most suitable QIAGEN solutions. The successful candidate will drive both pre-sales and post-sales activities. Key responsibilities:
- Support the sales team with instrument/workflow lead finding, identification, opportunity development and implementation in customer laboratories
- Take responsibility for on-site application troubleshooting with customers and work towards solutions
- Support our remote IT team in setting up bidirectional LIMS connections and remote monitoring of customers instruments
- Present features and benefits of QIAGEN products to potential and existing customers, primarily focused around the instrumentation portfolio
Position Requirements
- Native Norwegian speaker. Good level of English.
- Ideally a Master’s degree in molecular biology, genomics or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant employment experience in molecular biology/ molecular diagnostics.
- Solid experience with molecular biology technologies PCR, qPCR, dPCR and/or NGS with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
- Valid driver´s license with the ability to travel to customer sites across Norway at least 50% of the time.
- Good IT knowledge, sales experience and knowledge of SFDC would be beneficial.
