Senior Technical Project Manager

As a Senior Technical Project Manager at GlobalConnect, your typical day will involve overseeing TelCo technical projects that span across Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Germany. Your responsibilities include spearheading multi-year programs, handling large international customer deliveries, and maintaining a transparent view of the project portfolio. Projects range from backbone fiber expansion to optical network development, offering a variety of opportunities. Your location will be in Oslo but you will work in a Nordic team with team members in both Sweden and Denmark.

In your role as a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will guide and coordinate large projects, define scopes, milestones, and schedules, ensuring budget adherence and issue resolution. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, facilitating effective teamwork and communication as an informal leader of resources and stakeholders. After project completion, conduct comprehensive lessons learned sessions to ensure continuous improvement. A concrete example of responsibility which will be relevant upon start of this position is to head a multi-year program of a high volume of sites moves in Norway which comes with a high complexity including strategic planning of the sites, contract management, coordination and control of resources and activities spanning over a number of departments, site owner management among others.

Requirements:

• Leadership skills and ability to coordinate diverse teams effectively together with good communication skills, conveying messages at the appropriate level.
• Experience from working with complex technology projects in the telecommunications industry or other industry with similar infrastructure and experience in working across borders in a global environment.
• Solid experience in project planning, scheduling, cost management, budget forecasting and risk qualification, quantification, and mitigation.
• Fluency in a Scandinavian language and English.
