BIM technical support

Due to increased activity EIFFAGE Norge is looking for a BIM Manager for the E18/E39 project. We are seeking a candidate that are engaged, proactive and has a "can do" attitude.

The BIM Engineer will be responsible for supporting the project in declashing permanent design objects and temporary embedded construction objects, coordinating with designers for any necessary changes. Additionally, the role involves supporting construction teams by preparing execution packages that are easy to read and exhaustive in terms of requirements. The BIM Engineer will integrate field change requests and non-conformities into the BIM system and facilitate the smooth flow of BIM data from designers to suppliers.

General duties

• Supporting the construction teams (prepare some execution package along with Quality and Engineering easy to read and exhaustive in terms of requirements (standards, specifications))
• Support the construction in declashing design objects (provided by the designer) and construction objects (provided by methods) in coordination with the designers
• BIM integration of field change request and non-conformity
• smooth the flow of BIM data from the designers to the suppliers (reinforcement, prestressing systems, stay cables...),
• Implement and live feed BIM visualizations (tablets, kiosks) on site

Additional requirement

• Support the BIM Manager in administrating the CDE, PLM solution (TP-PLM), Visualisator (Trimble Connect), 3D intergrator (Quadri)
• liaising with solutions’s provider (Quadri, Trimble, ThinkProject) and platform integrator in case of any problems link to the infrastructure and the data work flow or additional development to be prescribed and implemented
• Support the Systematic completion and As-built deliveries
• Make data available to other departments
• Quality control of models

Education

• University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Diploma or Certificate in BIM coordination is a plus

Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with designers, construction teams, and suppliers.
• Ability to analyze complex design and construction data and identify clashes and conflicts.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and specifications.
• Experience with executing BIM workflows and protocols.

Qualifications

• Proficient in BIM software and processes
• Certification or training in BIM software and methodologies preferred.
• Knowledge of construction project management principles is an advantage.
• Knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations and standards
•  Experience with infrastructure projects (design & Build)

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
• Demonstrated experience in BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Experience in preparing construction execution packages and coordinating with construction teams.
• Familiarity with field change request processes and non-conformity management in a BIM environment.

Additional requirement:

• Language: Fluent in English (mandatory). Fluency in Norwegian is a plus.
