Within Ship Electrification Solutions (SES) we are a world-leading total supplier of electric and hybrid solutions for the marine industry. Our products range from Shaft Generators, Electric Propulsion Systems to Hybrid Solutions and shore power.

We are planning to strengthen our energetic, ambitious, and enthusiastic team with a Manager Sales and Sales Support Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems for our solutions with knowledge in the marine industry as well as in electrical power systems. This role will be in the SES Sales Management team.

What you will be doing 

As a Manager Sales and Sales Support Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems, you be involved in multiple sales projects configuring solutions for hybrid and electric propulsion systems. Together with your team and the Sales Manager, you will cover the whole scope from the early sales phase, up to the sales offering and deal transfer to the project execution team.

 To ensure the best value proposition and solution configuration, you will be coordinating the technical bid with our global front-line sales force and the different suppliers of the solution components, like generators, converters, batteries, transformers, or e-motors. 

 Due to the international character of this job, you will be working with customers, Sales Managers and other Sales Engineers around the world. 


The preferred location for the position is in Stord, Norway, but also Hamburg, Germany is a possible location. 

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?


  • Generate leads for electrical solutions together with our global sales network
  • Develop and follow up opportunities for these solutions with customers
  • Prioritise and manage tasks for the sales engineering team to focus on the right opportunities
  • Develop opportunities for contracts with intensive customer interaction
  • Presenting and negotiating proposals with customers.
  • Responsible for the technical bid, including the formulation of technical and commercial documentation for solution proposals based on customer requirements
  • Engage in technical discussions with counterpart technical experts from shipyards, ship owners, and design companies
  • Provide technical expertise in the sales phase and support the Sales Teams
  • Lead a team of sales engineers 
  • Coordinate the order transfer from Sales and Sales Engineering to the Project and Engineering execution team


You will shine in this role when you have:


  • A Master's or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area (Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology), or equivalent
  • Strong communication and sales mindset to go after opportunities
  • Professional experience, especially in the fields of power generation plants, control and converter technology
  • Network in the marine industry, good understanding of our shipping customer and their business
  • Experience in multicultural working environment
  • Structured and practical way of working with a hands-on attitude
  • Passion for exploring technical and commercial solutions to provide value to our customers.
  • English language (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel frequently around the world
