Building a Sustainable Future - Bulk Data Centers, High Voltage Engineer

About the position

In the role as our High Voltage Engineer, you will play a key part in developing the power supply to Bulk Data Centers in the Nordics. This position is part of the inhouse technical experts’ team offering wide range of tasks and a high degree of independence, making it a great opportunity for learning and self-development. Your primary focus will be to actively contribute your expertise to Bulk's development of existing and new data center sites. You will have the opportunity to work on both short- and long-term planning, participating in design, procurement, construction and operational processes

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Assist the HV/MV part of Bulk's planning per site and handling of external stakeholders. 
• Responsible for producing Bulk's functional descriptions and belonging technical specifications for design, construction and testing
• Operational support: assist on troubleshooting and process improvement
• Work closely with project managers, consultants, partners, contractors, as well as   sales, operations and BDC management finding optimal solutions
• Advice on best use av resources: time, quality and cost, Capex and Opex 
• Follow and update legal frameworks and regulations that affect HV/MV 
• Actively contribute to the development and improvement of the internal procedures, internal technical prescriptions, and
• standardization of the technical solutions
• Assist on grid connection and license application process

To succeed in this role, we also believe you have:

• Bachelor’s or Masters degree in electrical power engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years work experience
• Good written and verbal English and Norwegian skills.
• Experience with substation development projects 22-132 kV and above, including: FAT/SAT
• Operations
• Framework agreements and standardization of concepts
• Planning, procurement and construction 
• Apparatus system, outdoors and GIS
• Protection, control and auxiliary systems
• Electrical infrastructure
• Cable systems & smart grid
