Software Engineer

Nel Hydrogen is experiencing substantial growth, and we are now searching for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer to strengthen our capacity within advanced software products for green hydrogen production. The person we are looking for will contribute to developing world-leading hydrogen systems and work across our different projects and products. The position reports to the Manager Electrical & Control and can be located in Kristiansand (preferred) or Notodden.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and test software products and features
• PLC programming using Siemens TIA Portal
• Project and product delivery for hydrogen production control systems
• Contribute towards commissioning team in field or remotely
• Create and update technical documentation

Key qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc in relevant engineering discipline. ex. Cybernetics, Mechatronics or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience with commercial products or plant design - Graduates will also be evaluated for the position, Nel Hydrogen is an excellent company to start your career.
• Experience with programming control systems, preferably with Siemens would be an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communications skills in English. Good Norwegian skills would be an advantage.
