GE HealthCare i Horten søker Business Team Leader

Perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the

production line. Includes Service Shops. Responsible for departmental operations

planning/execution and is focused on execution of professional activities within

manufacturing operations in ultrasonic medical devices. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or

review of end results.

The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the

end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage a production facility in order to reach defined targets in safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
• Team management of employees and production leaders.
• Responsible for entire value chain within the factory, from receival of raw materials to shipping of finished product.
• A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of leading daily operations in manufacturing and analytical thinking.
• Uses LEAN methodology and mindset to continuously improve processes and remove waste.
• Uses judgement and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead various improvement projects. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced experience in the Manufacturing & Operation Management.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or at least 6 years of experience in Manufacturing & Operation Management).
