Job Description

Statkraft is looking for a Project Procurement Manager (contract manager) who has exceptional commercial, analytical and interpersonal skills and is committed to adding value and supporting our growth ambitions within renewable power.

Statkraft Group Procurement is responsible for category management and execution of procurement in large projects within all technologies such as Hydropower, Onshore and Offshore Wind, Solar power and Hydrogen across Europe, South Asia and South America. Group Procurement is also responsible for procurement processes, systems, methods and following up on a sustainable supply chain. The department consists of more than 100 procurement specialists - and growing. 

The role will be part of a dedicated procurement team supporting Statkraft’s business area New Energy Solutions which covers technologies like hydrogen, biofuels, district heating etc. This specific role shall work mainly with procurement for projects in hydrogen, at every stage of their lifecycle, and shall manage the overall coordination, procurement planning and execution of the procurement activities in the assigned projects. Currently we have a pipeline of hydrogen projects in development mainly the Nordics and Northern Europe. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • You will be in charge of large and complex procurement processes for renewable construction projects. 
  • Attend and facilitate project meetings to ensure projects have the right operational support and inputs at the right time. 
  • As part of different project teams you will manage and coordinate the procurement activities in the different phases of the project, such as market analysis, procurement strategy, supplier prequalification, supply chain sustainability, managing the tendering process, contract negotiations and contract administration.  
  • Utilise Statkraft’s technical knowledge and commercial leverage from the various regions to ensure the best commercial agreements possible can be reached. 
  • Negotiate best possible commercial and legal terms with identified suppliers, with respect to the contracting priorities driven by each project’s financial model. 
  • You must be committed to protect Statkraft’s high standards within health, safety and sustainability and to prevent corruption. 
  • Ensure that profitability (in terms of project IRR/LCOH) is maximized whilst considering any corporate social responsibility impacts of the company’s procurements decisions.  
  • Monitor service levels maintained by suppliers and quality of goods in line with relevant industry standards. 
  • Effective and efficient contract management and order fulfilment. 


Qualifications

  • Several years of procurement experience in large/complex construction project environments ideally with processing industry or the energy sector. 
  • Significant experience in medium-large/complex/capital sourcing processes from RFI to contract execution including negotiating and contract drafting. 
  • Knowledge of contractors for the relevant markets an advantage. 
  • Degree in business and/or technical areas 
  • Fluent in English. Norwegian is an advantage, but not a must.
  • Experience of using procurement platforms (ideally Jaggaer)
