Position Title: Managing Director & Executive Vice President Flight Services

Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Summary of Role: MD & EVP Flight Services is a strategic and pivotal leader within Nordic Unmanned, overseeing several vital functions spanning Flight Operations, Technical and Ground operations, commercial and sales departments. With direct oversight of diverse units, the MD & EVP collaborates closely with SVP (Senior Vice President) flight operations, VP (Vice President) Technical and ground operations, contract directors and sales to execute strategic planning and support the company's high safety standards.

The MD & EVP's role is central in managing contract administration, streamlining supply chain processes, supervising maintenance planning, and guiding maintenance planning and engineering activities. By ensuring operational efficiency and adhering to Nordic Unmanned commitment to exceptional service, the MD & EVP drives innovation, growth, and service excellence. This role is fundamental in steering the company towards achieving its strategic goals and upholding its values in the drone technology industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. 
   Strategic Planning: Take the lead in the strategic planning process for Nordic Unmanned Flight Services. Collaborate with the COO and other leadership members to establish strategic goals that align with the overall business plan.
2. 
   Safety: In collaboration with the SVP of Operations, support high safety standards in all operational activities. This includes ensuring compliance with regulations and performing risk assessments.
3. 
   Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the Commercial Directors, Flight Operations, Technical and ground operations, and sales leaders,
4. 
   Profit and Loss Management: Ensure efficient balance sheet management to optimize Return on Capital Employed (ROCE).
5. 
   Operations Oversight: Provide strategic guidance to the operations unit, ensuring operational processes and policies are efficient and aligned with company goals.
6. 
   Commercial Direction: Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive revenue growth through the Commercial Directors. Oversee sales and marketing efforts and cultivate relationships with key clients and partners.
7. 
   Performance Management: Set performance goals for direct reports, monitor performance, provide feedback, and manage performance issues, as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of drone or related technology industry.
• Excellent strategic planning skills and business acumen.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Safety & Quality: Measures such as incident rate, safety audit scores, compliance with safety protocols.
• Profit and Loss, return on capital employed (ROCE)
• Customer satisfaction
• Environment: Metrics related to energy efficiency, waste reduction, carbon footprint reduction.
• Achievement of strategic objectives.
• Performance of commercial, technical & ground operations and flight operations.
• Employee engagement and retention rates.
