Exciting Opportunity for E&I/Automation Engineer in Offshore Industry!
Are you a skilled and proactive E&I/Automation Engineer seeking a challenging role in a dynamic environment? Look no further!
We are currently on the lookout for a talented individual to join our team and lead generator set and pump system projects for the offshore industry.
Key Responsibilities:
As the lead E&I/automation engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and overseeing electrical elements within the generator set delivery, and you will report to the project manager.
Your tasks will include:
- Design of the electrical elements inside the generator set delivery :
- Overall design of the electrical architecture of the generator set
- Overall design of the unit control panel including control system
- Design external interface wiring towards the genset and interface with the client
- Establish the functional description for the control of the equipment
- Selection of the equipment based on project requirement and hazardous area classification
- Creation of documentation toward the client :
- P&ID
- External wiring and internal wiring (control panel)
- Function description
- C&E and logic diagram
- Electrical and instrument datasheet
- Test procedure
- Electrical and instrument indexes
- Establish technical requisition for supplier equipment’s such as :
- Instruments
- Electrical motor (high and low voltage)
- Control panel including control system
- Generator
- Transformer
- Cable / glands / junction boxes / lights, etc
- Direct communication and followup with clients, supplier and other disciplines :
- Kick of meeting
- HAZOP
- FAT / IFAT
- Client meetings
- Supplier meetings, inspections and FAT
- Technical meeting with mechanical/process team
- Technical support during assembly and testing at Eureka workshop
- Electrical work package (listing project requirement for installation)
- Cable tray routing
- Internal testing of the generator set and control panel (loop check and functional test)
- Client testing (FAT / IFAT)
- Technical support during commissioning
Qualifications:
We are looking for a self-driven engineer with:
- Bachelor of engineering or relevant technical education (lack of education can be compensated for by long relevant experience and professional insight)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of public requirements, regulations, and offshore standards (IEC, DNV, NORSOK, NFPA 20, )
- ATEX or IECEx experience
- Automation experience with programming and testing (Allen Bradley, ABB, Siemens, or similar)
- Experience with generators, electrical motors, and instrumentation
- Familiarity with diesel engines and/or generators is an advantage
