Our Safety Department in Bergen is now looking for a Senior Safety Engineer.

What will you be doing?

• As part of the Safety & Environment team in Bergen, you will get to work with highly skilled, friendly and creative colleagues.
• You will be involved in a variety of projects ranging from early phase studies to large execution projects for clients within the energy industry.
• Responsible for preparing design specifications and detail engineering,
• Reporting and ensuring implementation of relevant client- and statutory requirements in the total design, e.g. for safety systems/equipment, area classification, fire & gas detection, active/passive fire protection, escape and evacuation, etc.
• Contribute in/ lead risk/ safety design reviews (HAZID, SAFEOP, HSE layout reviews, etc.)
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
• Work according to our industry leading Project Execution Model PEM
• Be encouraged to contribute to the development of methodology, tools, and competency within the Safety & Environment department.

We think you should have:

• Drive to solve the hardest challenges for our customers with optimism and determination.
• Relevant education at BSc/MSc level and experience within Safety & Environment within the Norwegian energy sector.
• Ability to challenge accepted truths and contribute to accelerate our transformation to sustainable energy production.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant Norwegian regulations and standards.
• Solid command of Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 5 years of experience from the energy sector
