Nordic Unmanned is a leading European manufacturer and certified operator for unmanned aircraft systems (“UAS”). The Operations Control Centre is part of the Nordic Unmanned Flight Services Segment and is a tech-agnostic flight services operator providing time critical actionable data to large corporate and governmental Customers.
As part of the Operations Center team, you will have a key role in making sure the on-site operations are conducted safely, effectively and provide support when appropriate.
Validity: 6 months contract, expected start March 2024, with the possibility of extension.
The position is based in Sandnes and will include shift work.
It is a requirement for this position that applicants must have a residential address in Norway.
Key responsibilities for the Operations Coordinator:
- Supervise all flight activities, ensuring efficient flight preparation, real-time operational support, and post flight reporting.
- “Single point of contact” service between the departments of Nordic Unmanned.
- Prepare the foreseen activities of the day (check weather, NOTAM, etc.).
- Ensure availability crews and of airframes.
- Ensure compliance with flight and duty time limitations and maintain the legality of ongoing duties.
- Liaise with operating site, customer, ATC and/or authorities.
- Monitor ongoing missions throughout the day (maintain supervision/operational control).
- Give support in case of unforeseen activities.
- ERP activation.
- KPI reporting.
Desired experience and qualifications
- Experience in comparable operations centre(s), preferably aviation related.
- Ability to handle several issues in parallel.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and trust own judgement.
- The ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects and meet deadlines.
- Interest to adopt knowledge of the business’ operational/technical work scope.
- Understand the appropriate way to approach customer(s), aviation authorities, on-site crew member(s), air traffic supervisor(s), etc.
- Be fluent in English (written and oral)
- Strong analytical skills on an operational level
