Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

Aker Solutions is looking for a Commissioning Engineer specializing in either EIT or SAS with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Verdal and will be led from there.

This position operates on a 14/21 day rotation schedule.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine commissioning test procedures for various systems.
• Contribute to multi-discipline plant start-up and performance test procedures.
• Assist in creating governing documents, work instructions, and defining necessary resources.
• Evaluate spare parts, provide input for planning and budgeting.
• Participate in engineering reviews, vendor inspections, and design assessments.
• Prepare commissioning scope, work packages, and oversee system handover activities.
• Execute commissioning activities, manage status updates, and report progress.
• Manage change control processes and system take-over activities.
• Perform start-up and performance tests following established procedures.
• Supervise commissioning assistance and vendor personnel.

Skills and Levels Description:

• Strong comprehension of discipline-specific work procedures.
• Over 5 years of experience in EPC processes within the New Build/Renewables Segments.
• Proficient in MIPS, PIMS, Microsoft Office 365, ProCoSys, and Autodesk Simulate.
• Relevant technical degree or equivalent. Lack of formal education can be balanced with substantial related work experience.
• Fluency in both written and spoken Norwegian and English; proficiency in Norwegian is essential.
• Efficient, proactive, and adaptable team player.
