Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager / Center of Competence Aluminium Crash Management Systems  

We search for a senior engineer who can lead the local product development group in Raufoss and have the global responsibility for development of Aluminium Crash Management Systems in Benteler.

Main responsibilities for Development Manager are:

• Lead the Product Engineering department in Raufoss.
• Support customer lines with development capacities for aluminium products
• Driver for development of new product concepts
• Responsible for the local test lane and for the planning and operation of tests.
• Responsible for the local prototyping.

Main responsibilities for CoC Aluminium CMS are:

• Monitor market trends and changes to relevant product requirements
• Create and update design guideline for the respective product family.
• Concept support to projects in A&Q phase globally
• Participate in Technical Releases and Gate Reviews for Aluminium CMS projects.
• Product Benchmarking
• Support organization of customer tech days & exhibitions

You should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor/Master of Science in relevant area
• Experience from leading of product development activities and/or project management
• Good ability to work in teams.
• Good communication- and presentation skills
• Good English skills are required, German is an advantage.

Relevant work experience is an advantage. Practical experience from process design, tool design or other relevant field can compensate for lack of academic education.

In this position, you will work in an international team with the world’s largest car producers as customers. The home base with be Benteler Aluminium Systems at Raufoss. Some travel activity will be required.
