There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 15,000 people in more than 20 countries.

Aker Solutions is now looking for an Insulation Engineer with experience from onshore or offshore projects. The project is lead from Bergen.

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain Insulation specifications.
• Input to Equipment Package Specifications and follow-up of Equipment package suppliers.
• Prepare Insulation work packages and ensure that the project design is implemented.
• Coordinate with interface disciplines.
• Review of P&ID, GA, 3D model, line list and material data sheet.
• Design Change handling.
• Develop and maintain Customer and supplier relations.

Skills and Levels Description:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Insulation discipline.
• Bachelor or technician with relevant skills. Relevant experience may make up for formal education.
• Proactive and curious abilities.
• Team-player attitude.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of Insulation.
• FROSIO certificate L2 or L3.
• Knowledge of relevant documents, standards and codes e.g NORSOK M-004 and TR1660.
• Be independent, flexible, and able to adjust to different work assignments and demands.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Navigational skills in E3D and Navisworks.
• Drawing skills in SolidWorks or equal.
• General good knowledge and understanding of basic computing.
