HSE Engineer

We are now recruiting for the position HSE Engineer to join our team in Haugesund. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are genuinely interested and passionate about the shipping industry.

Knutsen OAS Shipping AS is a world leading company within shuttle tanker and LNG carrier operations. We manage a fleet of 58 vessels in operation. The newbuilding program consist of additional 19 vessels under construction, which provides exciting international reach, offering you the opportunity for both personal and professional development. Duties and responsibilities

• Review, identify and follow up Company HSE best practice
• Form common risk assessments
• Review/revise common risk assessments
• Establish and maintain HSE trends and statistics by system analysis
• Participate or lead HSE related accidents and root cause investigations
• Prepare programs and arrange training sessions in HSE awareness programs
• Offering HSE relevant operational support and advice to the vessels and line organization
• Develop own position to optimal benefit for the company
• Be part of company internal auditing team

Key areas the role will primarily focus on:

• Develop and implement automated processes to gather, process, and analyze HSE performance statistics
• Ensure and verify the data is consistent, reliable, and of high quality
• Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for data modeling, data integration, and data management

Qualifications

• Bachelor or preferably masters Risk Analysis, HSEQ or other relevant disciplines. Long relevant experience may compensate.
• Preferably experience with databases e.g. SQL, Power BI
• Excellent understanding of data analytics and reporting
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
