Job Description

The Internal Control and Fraud Prevention unit has five employees and is part of the Financial Reporting, Accounting and GBS Finance department in Statkraft. The unit’s main responsibilities are Statkraft’s internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), internal control over sustainability reporting (ICSR) and the fraud risk management framework (FPS).

Statkraft has a high ambition for developing a holistic approach to fraud prevention and becoming more data driven in the organization’s effort to prevent fraud. This involves applying audit competence and skills in a different way, e.g. designing and developing controls for detection, but also for analytics. The position therefore offers a high degree of opportunity to influence change and drive improvement initiatives, and you will have a central role in further development and improvement of Statkraft’s internal control framework related to fraud.

As a part of the unit, you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders across Statkraft, and the role will therefore help you to build your internal network in addition to offer new opportunities for further development within Statkraft.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Contribute to developing Statkraft’s internal control framework related to fraud
  • Facilitate the yearly fraud risk assessment processes
  • Facilitate the yearly process for update of control design
  • Follow-up on various responsibilities under the Annual Wheel for control activities
  • Facilitate the Group’s fraud prevention network with stakeholders across all business areas
  • Communicate and provide training to ensure that key stakeholders have sufficient awareness and competence of control activities related to fraud
  • Support implementation of internal control requirements in new entities in the group
  • Further development of the groups Finance and Fraud Analytics tool
  • Test and report on the effectiveness of current fraud prevention controls
  • Working alongside with both process owners and compliance to create new ways to stop and prevent fraud

 

Qualifications

Your profile

  • Master’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Controlling mindset, and experience with fraud, forensic, risk analysis or audit
  • Very good analytical skills and experience with working with fraud analytics
  • Proactive, self-driven and self-motivated
  • Strong ability to use all of Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools
  • Knowledge of the COSO framework, the Norwegian code of practice for corporate governance is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
