Are you a Piping Stress Engineer with strong multidiscipline cooperation and communication skills?
The positions are in Woods Piping & Layout department, which carries out design, calculations and specifications as well as prepares drawings and documentation for purchasing, engineering, installation and completion.
In Wood you will be part of an experienced Piping & Layout environment, and you will receive good guidance and support from colleagues. The department Piping, Layout & HVAC now consists of 54 permanent employees spread over Wood offices in Sandefjord, Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen and Herøya. We possesses a high level of professional expertise that we utilize across our locations.
The department is growing, and at Wood you will have the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally. Our projects are mainly related to maintenance and modification work, larger EPCI contracts and land-based industry. Wood has a major focus on the green shift with studies and projects in areas such as floating offshore wind power, electrification of the Norwegian continental shelf, hydrogen production and other energy production.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to Identify critical lines and create critical line lists
- Perform stress analysis calculations using Caesar II
- Perform flange leakage checks
- Checking equipment nozzle loads
- Creation of stress isometrics
- Create stress reports
- Checking of stress related documentation
- Sizing and selection of spring supports
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or master degree
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years work experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry
- Solid experience using Caesar II
- Detailed knowledge of ASME B31.3, PED, EN-13480, Norsok etc
- Experience with 3rd party verifications
- Knowledge of cause & effect of vibrations in piping systems
- Able to work independently to project timelines and budgets
- Experience working in onshore & offshore projects
- Solution orientated
- The position requires Strong Multidiscipline cooperation and communication skills
- Written/verbal Norwegian language is an advantage
