Joining our team Electro, Instrument and Telecom (EIT) department offers you a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in our industry's most remarkable engineering projects. From massive and complex oil and gas EPC(I) topside projects like Valhall PWP and Hugin A/B, to FPSOs such as Johan Castberg, and groundbreaking carbon reduction efforts like Northern Lights, a CO2 capture and storage project. What will you be doing?
- Carrying out 3D modelling and performing area design such as:
- cable ladder/tray design (including support)
- electrical room design
- lighting design (including calculations)
- field design, penetrations, nodal design, cable routing
- cable/termination/loop engineering
- tubing and fittings
- instrument process hook-ups
- pneumatic/hydraulic distributions
- Reviewing vendor information for equipment package interface and implementing it into area design
- Following-up tie-in and hook-up activities affecting EIT disciplines
- Ensuring implementation of statutory requirements, design basis, specifications, standards, internal work instructions, and corporate requirements
- Reporting progress to the discipline lead on activities and deliverables against the project schedule
We think you should have:
- Preferably Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, a long relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
- 5+years of relevant experience with area design in an EPC environment
- Relevant industry experience can be oil/gas, renewables, consultancy or from complex civil constructions. Experience or practice from shipyards or other installation companies is an advantage
- Good knowledge of typical EIT equipment used in the oil and gas industry
- Experience from PDMS/E3D or BIM
- Experience with teamwork, also with teams from different locations
