Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions is looking for Instrument Discipline Task Responsible Engineers with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Kristiansund and will be led from there.
Position Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with various engineering disciplines.
- Integrate process control, monitoring systems, fire & gas detection, and protection/shutdown systems, including field devices/instrumentation.
- Participate in studies, concept developments, and execution tasks.
- Follow up on Instrument Procurement Packages.
- Coordinate with suppliers and review documents and drawings.
- Provide engineering inputs to job Packages.
- Maintain as-builts of supplier drawings and red line mark-ups received from offshore. Report all matters of importance to the Discipline Lead and Engineering Manager.
- Responsible for Quality and HSSE in own projects.
- Ensure identification of changes and input to change requests.
- Perform offshore survey tasks involving field and control engineering, layout design, cable calculations, instrumentation, valve systems, technical procurement, and collaboration with suppliers and clients.
Skills and Levels Description:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Proficient knowledge of offshore EIT installations and related requirements.
- Familiarity with Norwegian laws and NORSOK standards.
- Strong experience in coordinating with and overseeing suppliers.
- Skilled in creating as-builts of tags and drawings.
- Relevant educational background (Associate Degree, Vocational school, BSc, MSc).
- Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, PDF, and TIME.
- Fluent in both written and oral English.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
- Capability to estimate work and plan activities effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to execute, take responsibility, and make informed decisions.
- Strong collaborative abilities with an encouraging and motivational approach to foster a structured and disciplined team environment.
