World Class Robotic Systems

Kongsberg Ferrotech (KF) was established in 2014. Since then, KF has developed advanced underwater robotic systems for inspection, repair and maintenance of subsea pipelines, risers and offshore structures. The remotely operated robots have been in commercial offshore operations since 2022.

Following the successful operations of KFs robots, the workload is increasing. KF is expanding the team and is looking for new resources within software engineering.

The company has per date 20 employees in Norway.

Job Tasks and responsibilities:

The position as Software Engineer for Kongsberg Ferrotech involves both development of control systems and programming. You will also be able to deploy and test developed software on our robots as well as assisting with mechanical assembly of control system components.

• Programming and maintenance of software

• Development of HMI / GUI

• Testing of units and systems

• Provide support to internal and external stakeholders

• Support assembly and testing of equipment at sub-suppliers and KF workshops

What you bring:

• BSc. or MSc. degree in Electrical / Automation.

• Experience with Python, C++, Linux, SQL databases, Qt and SCADA systems

• Understanding and experience with electronic circuits, sensor technology or microcontrollers

• Team player 

• Practical, hands-on experience is an advantage

• Excellent Norwegian and English communication skills - written and oral
