Broker / Senior Broker, Energy

About the job

Gallagher is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our growing Marine & Energy team as a Senior Broker (or Broker) in Oslo.

In this role, you will be responsible for servicing existing clients and targeting new prospects within the offshore energy and renewables business.

Responsibilities

Understand client needs to develop customized insurance programs to address their risks.
Prepare and present client proposals, including risk assessments and insurance program recommendations.
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities and target potential clients in the energy sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the industry.
Negotiate terms and conditions with insurance providers to secure the best coverage and pricing for clients.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Broker or Underwriter in the Energy sector.
Strong technical expertise, proficiency in placement, advisory services, and contractual risk management.
Excellent knowledge of Energy insurance products and coverage options.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in English and preferably one of the Scandinavian languages.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred (e.g., business, finance, economics, law, technical, nautical).
