Clinical Oncology Scientist
Do you want to work with biomarker analysis in an innovative biopharmaceutical company? Nykode Therapeutics is looking for a passionate scientist with experience from clinical oncology and molecular analysis to join the Biomarker team. You will be a key member of the team responsible for biomarker analysis across Nykode clinical programs.

The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Work in collaboration with data science experts to prepare, and propose novel approaches, for data analysis of biomarker analysis across Nykode clinical programs
- Improvement of current processes and implementation of new technologies to advance clinical immunology capabilities and MOA/biomarker identification
- Part of clinical development team to drive biomarker analysis (experience with TCRseq, circulating tumor DNA, RNAseq analysis is preferable)
- Mapping of competitive landscape (cancer vaccines)
- Analysis and presentation of results to larger scientific groups.
- Train and supervise research associates to accomplish program and company goals.
- Work productively in a team environment and independently deliver against timelines.
- Ensure that deliverables are in compliance with GxP, relevant SOPs, regulatory requirements and Company policies
- Initiate and support academic and KOL collaborations
The role will be reporting to Karoline Schjetne, Vice President & Head of Biomarker and Translational Research.
Education and Experience:
- Master or PhD in immunology, oncology or relevant areas with a minimum of five years relevant academic experience or from biotech industry
- Prior experience working with immuno-oncology, clinical immunology and biomarker discovery by a strong publication record
- Must have good understanding and prior experience in working with "omics" technologies including but not limited to Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics (experiences in R is preferable)
- Excellent attention to detail with an analytical mindset
- Demonstrated experience working with contract research organizations and academic collaborators
- Innovative with a sharp and objective intellect, experienced in balancing strategic thinking with detailed analyses, interpretation and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a pro-active mentality
- Strong cooperative team player, ability to be flexible and adapt to a changing environment
