Manager Digital Communication
INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) has a vacant position as Digital Communication Manager. The position works in close cooperation the Strategic Communications Manager to roll out IDI's communications according to the Strategic Plan, and collaborates with teams across the organization to maximize IDI’s digital presence and engagement across existing and future platforms, including websites, social media channels, Electronic Direct Mail (EDMs), and touch points with digital learning platforms.
Together with the Strategic Communication Manager the Digital Communication Manager ensures that overall digital messaging and branding is consistent, relevant, timely, transparent and inclusive while accommodating flexibility. Overseeing relationships with external providers in the communications field, social listening and reporting across IDI's channels falls within the scope of the position.
Duties and responsibilities
- In close cooperation with the Manager for Strategic Communication ensure consistent messaging and brand identity according to IDI’s Strategic Plan; Mission, Vision and Values; Communications Strategy and policies, and identity kits and style guides.
- Oversee the schedule of posts to the social media platforms, currently Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.
- Oversee website updates and uploads including articles, news, success stories, Global Public Goods, and other relevant documents.
- Coordinate links with different digital platforms and tools including Learning Management System, Inclusiveness widgets, Blue, StORy, project planning etc.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement campaigns on social media and other platforms in their outreach, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting on all IDI activities.
- Develop digital outreach project plans and solutions to aid in project planning and management , including social media kits for partner dissemination.
- Provide central liaison point with external suppliers on websites, content, design and branding to maintain style standards and messaging and to optimise workflow and budgets while still allowing for flexibility for additional resource, expertise or creativity
- Provide central liaison point for cross-functional team of communication contacts to effectively manage the calendar of events, overall messaging, and SAI-centric website interfaces
- Provide support for online engagement and creative collaboration on content such as press releases, emails, blog posts, podcasts, op-eds, success stories and so on
- Monitor, track and utilize analytics for all communications channels, including by campaign as requested
- The position reports to Deputy Director General Administration and Global Foundation Unit.
Qualifications and personal qualities
- Educated to minimum Bachelor degree level - preferably in the field of communication public relations, marketing or other relevant field.
- You have an eye for detail and pride yourself in delivering engaging content.
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
- You deliver according to deadline.
- Excellent networking skills.
- Proven experience delivering effective and innovative digital campaigns in areas such as online learning and content management, social media, inclusive tools, website updates.
- Familiarity with social media aggregators, website platforms ideally with Joomla and Wordpress experience, and other digital content methodologies.
- Fluency in two or more of the INTOSAI languages Arabic, English, French, German and/or Spanish is desired.
- Cultural sensitivity and commitment to maximizing communications through IDI’s gender, inclusive and diversity lenses.
- Familiarity with Supreme Audit Institutions and INTOSAI is an advantage.
