GE HealthCare is looking for a wireless connectivity developer to strengthen our Handheld Ultrasound R&D team.
GE Vingmed Ultrasound AS, a part of GE HealthCare, is a world leader in medical ultrasound imaging with main offices in Horten and satellite offices in Oslo and Trondheim. We are now seeking an intermediate to senior level wireless connectivity developer to strengthen our Handheld Ultrasound R&D team. You will join a global team of highly motivated expert engineers with a focus on topics such as ultrasound data acquisition, signal and image processing and algorithm development.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, test and verify wireless connectivity on handheld ultrasound probes and mobile devices using Bluetooth, wifi direct and access point configurations,
- Implement highly accelerated stress tests for wifi connectivity between handheld ultrasound probes and a broad range of different mobile devices,
- Work with product owners to understand product requirements & vision,
- Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products,
- Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques,
- Holding a Degree in Computer Science or STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.
- Experience with Bluetooth and wifi technologies on a variety of platforms, including Android, iOS, Mac, Linux and Windows,
- Experience with cross-platform development (for macOS, iOS, Android, Windows).
- Experience with writing unit tests, TDD.
- Working knowledge of 802.11n/ac/ax.
- Working knowledge of WPAx, certificates, TLS, etc.
- Working knowledge of wpa_supplicant & configuration.
- Working knowledge of Wi-Fi Direct.
- Familiar with Networking Tools (e.g. Wireshark, iperf).
- Experience with modern tools (Jira, Jenkins, Git, SVN).
- Aware of methods and practices such as Lean/Agile/XP, etc.
- Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Independent and with initiative.
- Effective team building and problem solving abilities.
- Persists to completion, especially in the face of overwhelming odds and setbacks.
- Pushes self for results; pushes others for results through team spirit.
