Jacket Technology, based in Fornebu, Bærum, is responsible for structure design and analyses for jackets used within offshore wind and oil & gas. The team is involved in jacket design from concept to final product. The team consists of a group of highly qualified structural, naval, and geotechnical engineers with a broad range of experience within jacket technology.
We are looking for young talents graduating spring/summer 2024, who wants to pursue a Jacket Marine Engineer position in Aker Solutions. As this is an entry level engineering position, it is a great opportunity for graduates or candidates with a few years of experience who want to gain, develop, and realize potential and knowledge within marine and structural design.
As a 2024 graduate at Aker Solutions, you will be a part of a graduate program that will give you the opportunity to become join a professional network, meet other graduates across locations and visit our headquarters and one of our yards.
What will you be doing?
As a Jacket Marine Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Marine temporary phases, such as load-out, transport, launch, lift and upending analysis
- Interface towards transport and installation (T&I) including opportunity to be part of the offshore installation team
- Reporting and documentation
- Collaboration with other jacket disciplines and fabrication yard

- Have a Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, and 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Have good communication skills in Norwegian and English (verbal and in writing)
- Are a team player with a strong work ethic and a proactive and positive attitude
- Are curious and have an open mind when it comes to understanding customer needs and technology
- Are adaptable and enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Have interest in and/or experience with analysis software/programming
