We are now looking for a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer who wants to join our Front End group at Fornebu. We are responsible for developing floating installations and our project ranging from early studies to FEED phase.

In the developing energy mix, commercial risks are as prominent as technical risks, and our consultancy will provide broad multi-faceted advice to our customers. This developing market, coupled with an unprecedented demand for our execution experience, means that we are looking to grow our consultancy team with technical, consulting and commercially minded individuals who can help us meet the challenge of a just and orderly energy transition. 

What will you be doing?

As our new Senior Structural Analysis Engineer, you will have the opportunity to be part of a strong team of 15 engineers with a long track-record of offshore floating structure. We develop products in the Oil & Gas segment ranging from semi-submersible platforms and into new products like offshore wind turbines, offshore fish farming, floating bridges.

You will:

• Participate in concept, study and FEED projects in various positions
• Perform structural analyses
  • Strength and fatigue FE-analyses of offshore structures (SESAM)
  • Global and local analyses for floating offshore structures
• Be part of the design development of global and local hull structures
• Provide input to 3D models and 2D-drawings
• Secure and complete quality control of design reports and drawings
• Collaborate with other discipline within the group

We think you should have:

• A master’s degree in structural engineering / naval architecture or similar. Relevant experience might compensate for lower formal education
• Min 7 years’ experience with design and analyses of offshore structures to qualify for a senior position
• Experience using FE-Analysis tools, such as Sesam / Abaqus
• An innovative and creative approach to problem solving
• A team spirit attitude, but at the same time be able to work individually and take responsibility for your own tasks
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
