Senior Product Designer

Reports to:  Head of Product Design

We are investing in our future and building an international team. Today we're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join us in our Oslo office. 

You will play a core role in creating high-quality product design that meets the customer and business needs for the given target user group and according to the goals set.

 

On a typical day, you will:

• Participate in the prioritization and planning process
• Conduct user research and synthesize and use research data to run design experiments based on hypotheses
• Create user-centered designs, from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity prototypes
• Create design specifications for implementation and follow up on these throughout the implementation phase.
• Collaborate with other teams and departments and help them deliver value to customers
• Evangelise design and contribute to strengthening the design capability of the organization
• Participate in product development planning and prioritization process
• Conduct basic user research to understand user needs, synthesise findings and present actionable insights
• Map out end-to-end user journeys for target user archetypes

 

We imagine you will bring:

• 5+ years of product design experience in digital product development
• Experience with basic user research and willingness to dig into usage and behavioral metrics
• Knowhow translating data into insights and comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative user research learnings
• Experience synthesising research into journeys and flows and present findings as action items
• Knowledge of designing process from ideation to high-fidelity designs
• Knowledge of translating high-level concepts into detailed features for complex and technical environments
• Experience with and interest to solve complex user problems and shaping them into powerful and intuitive solutions
• Knowledge articulating design decisions
• Genuine desire to put people first and have their experience at the core of every decision
• Experience with information architecture and working on versatile projects
• Experience planning design work on complex features and managing your own workload with confidence
• Interest to create meaningful connections with teammates and mentor less experienced designers
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or other visual design, wireframing, and prototyping tools
• Good written and verbal English skills
• Education within the design, HCI, or similar
• A portfolio showcasing your best work that shows your ability to produce thoughtful, real-world product experiences
