Oncology is one of the strategic therapeutic areas for Bayer Pharma and radiopharmaceuticals are an important part of this strategy with several projects in pipeline. We are looking for a new colleague to contribute to analytical development of radiopharmaceutical compounds as Scientist in our Analytical Development & Quality Control Team, and you will work closely with team colleagues in Research & Development. The position is based in Oslo where the main radioactive development activities take place.
As Scientist in Analytical Development & Quality Control, you will be responsible for analytical development with focus on radiochemistry, HPLC based methods and nuclear techniques of analysis.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Provide analytical support to our development projects.
This involves:
- Method development and validation, in particular involving HPLC
- Characterization of raw materials and drug products
- Release and stability testing under GMP
- Contribute in technology transfer to Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) worldwide
- Qualification, control, calibration and maintenance of GMP instruments
- The method development will involve working with radioactivity
Who you are
- University degree in Chemistry (MSc or equal, PhD), Biotechnology or Pharmacy, professional experience (preferably minimum 2 years) in analytical development functions. In-depth knowledge in radiochemistry/radiopharmaceuticals is an advantage.
- Experience in working with HPLC-based analytical methods, both method development and routine analyses, and preferably nuclear techniques of analysis.
- High motivation for practical analytical work in our laboratories.
- Good communication and collaboration skills are expected, and you have good experience in writing scientific reports.
- Experience with radioactivity and understanding of GMP requirements in the field of radiopharmaceuticals and analytical development will be an advantage.
- Fluent in English and preferably skills in a Scandinavian language.
- The position will report to Head of Analytical Development & Quality Control.
