The position will be member of the Mechanical Engineering Rotating Equipment team in Aker BP and be seconded to the Skarv-asset. The position reports daily to the Asset Maintenance Manager.
The main purpose of this role is to be the asset rotating equipment specialist. Daily asset support ensuring equipment reliability and plant uptime are key tasks within the role.

The position holder will demonstrate strong commitment to the HSSE, integrity and mechanical standards within Aker BP when carrying out the responsibilities, delivering safe, efficient and reliable operations within the framework of BMS and Mechanical Rotating equipment responsibility.
The position holder supports Aker BP common strategies in addition to give input of experience to improve efficiency and standardization a cross Aker BP offshore assets related to rotating equipment.
Typical tasks will include:
- TFA (Teknisk fagansvarlig) for Rotating Equipment
- Responsible for mechanical rotating equipment at Skarv FPSO-asset
- Day to day technical support resolving direct and short-term actions.
- Condition monitoring of rotating machinery.
- Maintenance scope scoping for rotating machinery.
- Overview of Health-, Safety-, Environment-, Operational and Equipment-risks
- Input and support to modifications and projects when required
- Commercial involvement and use of relevant Frame agreements.
Main tasks:
- Provide first line technical support for the Skarv-asset within rotating equipment (RE) boundaries.
- Scope RE preventive and corrective work. Plan, prioritize, optimize and execute to meet Aker BP targets on reliability and cost. Optimize work to ensure minimum equipment down time.
- Ensure that maintenance work Is executed according to best practice and ensure that findings and learning's are incorporated.
- Ensure that the established work practices and procedures for offshore work hold expected quality. Including close cooperation with the critical suppliers and contractors.
- Maintain overview of work order status and technical status of system equipment.
- Spare parts management and optimization for mechanical RE
- Perform condition monitoring analysis and evaluate outcome and recommendations
- Perform asset defect elimination, support Root cause Failure Analysis for production losses and identify production vulnerabilities.
- RE technical support to Category management.
- Cost management of the agreed budgets for Skarv-asset assigned activities
- Participate in Community of Practice for Rotating Equipment engineers.
Qualifications:
- Master or Bachelor of Science relevant to position
- 5-10 years of experience from operations for Rotating Equipment
- Centrifugal gas compressor and gas turbine experience is an advantage
- Knowledge about government requirements, Norwegian and international standards for Rotating Equipment
- Offshore installation experience
- Offshore security certificate
- Experience working in multidiscipline teams and handling interfaces
- Demonstrated flexibility to take on new challenges
- Norwegian spoken language
