The position

By joining our team in Exploration & Production Norway you will have the opportunity to:

Work as an Operations Geologist with key tasks within exploration and development wells such as:

• Generation of pore pressure and wellbore stability plots for development wells.

• Geohazards assessment and overburden evaluations.

• Geological prognosis.

• Data acquisition including coring.

• Downhole understanding and risk assessment.

• Operational follow up.

• Offshore work as wellsite geologist is a possibility but not a requirement.

Work as a Petroleum Engineer with key tasks within exploration and development wells such as: 

• DST planning and execution. Generation of pore pressure and wellbore stability plots. 

  • Test design modelling.

    • Flow rates.

    • Pressure response.

  • Tubing design.

  • Fluid sampling.

  • Chemical injection.

  • Transient pressure response interpretation.

• Generation of pore pressure and wellbore stbaility plots.

• Blow-out and depletion simulations. 

• Data acquisition planning (WL and LWD) and operational follow up – both onshore and offshore.

• Relevant Master's degree or equivalent. 

• Relevant subsurface and operational experience. 

• Experience within data acquisition/interpretation or reservoir and production is an advantage. 

• Data acquisition experience (DST, WL and LWD). 

• Ability to work independently, with strong collaboration and communication skills. 

• Curious to learn and promote continuous improvement.
