Aker Solutions’ Life Cycle segment focuses on execution of modifications & maintenance that improve operations and extends life span of energy facilities on- and offshore. The segment is also responsible for electrification projects on existing facilities as well as offshore maintenance for the renewables sector.

Our department in Stavanger is now looking for a Senior Materials Technology Engineer to help us succeed in our purpose of solving global energy challenges for future generations.

What will you be doing?

• Perform material selection, define surface protection and evaluate insulation alternatives in engineering studies, detail engineering projects, and fabrication & installation activities
• Monitor equipment or material manufacturers
• Ensure that project and vendor deliveries are performed according to contract requirements
• Visit project sites and sub suppliers and perform necessary QA activities

We think you should have:

• Higher technical education (MSc) within relevant area (Metallurgy, Materials Technology, Welding, Corrosion, Surface Preparation and Coatings) is preferred
• Good communication skills, both written and orally
• Good cooperation skills and interest for working in teams
