Strategic Project Manager
Job Description
Commercial Development team (MGD) is part of International Markets (MG) within Statkraft’s business area Markets. We work closely with the business area International, who is responsible for all Statkraft's power-generating activities outside western Europe, and covers hydropower, wind power and solar power.
MGD supports the SVP MG and MG country organizations and connects the country organisations with the rest of Statkraft at all levels, functions and locations. MGD provides commercial and developmental support to MG units and MG countries related to capital projects and commercial strategies to manage our portfolios of assets and contracts. It also represents MG in the risk policy & risk reduction strategy process.
As a strategic project manager working closely with VP MGD and country VPs in MG, you will be an integrated part of MGD function and work closely with local teams in MG countries.
For the first 6-12 months, you will focus on India and be responsible for selected strategic projects with focus on India and leading M workstream in capital projects in India. You will work closely with VP MG India and with Statkraft team in India.
Capital projects - Asset Development Support
- Lead Markets workstream for capital projects in line with Statkraft’s capital project model
- Ensure high quality markets assessment and revenue calculations process, leading to robust deliverables – business case input and written memos
- Set up and lead project teams
- Further improve the quality and process of deliverables
Other strategic projects
- Support country organization on commercial topics, take lead in selected projects
- Contribute to portfolio risk management, commercial strategy and route-to-market discussions
- Participate in projects to develop specific business opportunities
- Work with market modelling and portfolio management with close interaction with local MG team
Education
- Relevant higher education, preferably at Master’s level
Experience and competences
- Strong commercial drive
- Expertise in managing projects and project workstreams
- Deep understanding of Statkraft’s technologies, risks and market exposures
- Understanding of market analysis, revenue calculations and business case
- Experience in India is of advantage
