We are currently recruiting an entry-level Flow Assurance Engineer to help us enable the business Value Streams to create value from opportunities, projects, and safe assets by providing the required pipeline discipline support to Natural Teams (Squads) within the Value Streams with the aim to ensure technical integrity, quality and overall technical integration of the discipline.
The Flow Assurance Engineer reports to the Engineering Lead.
Entry level 2024

Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the surveillance of the Ormen Lange Field
- Contribute to the production optimization initiatives and implementation through Well Reservoir Facilities Management Programme (WRFM)
- Contribute to the implementation and development of safe and competitive flow assurance solutions and ensuring that risks are managed in a cost-effective way. This includes preparation of deviations to plans/standards/procedures to be signed off by relevant Shell Technical Authorities
- Support operations managers and unit leads to develop maintenance and operations scope and budgets
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships within projects and operations/maintenance, leveraging the Shell global engineering support and discipline network to secure and share technical support
- Embrace, adapt, and actively contribute to implement the agile, digital and multiskilling transformation of Norske Shell
Key Dimensions
- The Flow Assurance Engineer will be part of the Technical Directorate which provides a broad compliment of engineering, subsurface and integrator disciplines that are to be deployed flexibly across the business Value Streams to work on the priority work packages agreed by the Leadership team on a quarterly basis. The Technical Directorate staff will work in multiskilled teams and collaborate along discipline lines to ensure that capable staff working in agile teams can deliver the quality of product required by the business Value Streams.
What we need from you
- Curiosity, adaptability, resilience, ownership, collaboration skills and drive for continuous learning and improvement (learner mindset)
- Relevant master’s degree preferably in Chemical Engineering or similar
- Relevant work experience may be considered
- Trained on how to use flow assurance tools such as OLGA and Thermodynamics packages
