There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 15,000 people in more than 20 countries.

Aker Solutions is now looking for a Safety Engineer with experience from onshore or offshore projects. The project is lead from Bergen.

Position Responsibilities:

• The engineers work in various small and large projects, and this gives each employee several career opportunities.
• The work is in close cooperation with clients, other engineering disciplines, vendors and fabrication sites.
• Participate in the engineering of M&M Projects.
• Engineering and follow-up of safety design in multidiscipline project.
• Verify the design by analysis and calculations.
• Ensure that the installation is in accordance with design and specifications.
• Technical responsible for equipment including technical follow-up of equipment suppliers.
• Travel in shorter periods both offshore and to suppliers

Skills and Levels Description:

• Offshore certificate is required.
• Familiar with HAZID and SafeOp reviews.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree within Safety Engineering or similar.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to take initiative and to be flexible.
• Fluent in Norwegian and English - written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently on assigned task and have good team-relationships.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office.
