We are looking for a Platform Engineer for DNB's central, state-of-the-art platform for Data & Analytics!

About the team

We are the Tech Family "Data & Analytics Platforms" in the Tech & Services organization in DNB. Our Tech Family consists of 40+ Platform Engineers with a diverse and multi-cultural background. We have a special passion for data, and we are always looking to improve the platform and deliver new and improved capabilities. Now we need more people to strengthen this effort and help take our platform and services to the next level. You will be a vital part of our team and DNBs investment into a modern Data & Analytics platform.

Our mission is to

• Empower DNB to utilize its full potential from Data & Analytics - self-served, reliably and effortlessly
• Facilitate Data Liberation and secure data sharing of agile and usable data products between data producers and their subscribing data consumers
• Enable consistent, automated, and secure data management for any data operations team
• Enable business to realize their analytics-focused data products by delivering an industry-leading end-to-end platform for Analytics and Machine Learning

We invest in technology and must constantly adapt ourselves and our services to future needs. The work we do is versatile and cover everything from conception to the eventual decommissioning of a service.

Our self-service platform is used by all business areas in DNB. Use-cases utilizing the platform varies from creating machine learning models for scoring in our data science lab, investigating money laundering via network databases, developing modern DataOps pipelines to create data products for a data mesh, data collaboration to integrate enterprise data and using data virtualization to avoid data silos.

The technology stack is very modern and built in the cloud using leading edge cloud services, tools, and methodologies. All our infrastructure is written as code (IaC) and deployed in AWS/ Azure, most of our code is written in Python and SQL and everything is versioned using git. We deploy frequently using efficient CI/CD tools.

We are looking for new colleagues with some of the following

• The ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and be continuously challenged
• Being able to both dive into the technology and code, but also to engage with our platform users to support, assist and guide
• Having a value driven mindset - whatever we do should in the end give value for our users and for the Bank
• Hands on experience with Amazon Web Services or Azure
• Experience with container technologies and container orchestration tools
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) like Cloudformation, Terraform or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps, and connected technologies like Gitlab, GitHub or similar
• Coding experience (preferably Python or similar)
• Experience with other programming languages and technologies like SQL, Spark, databases of various types, shell scripting and more
• Working agile using Jira or similar, and using tools like Confluence or similar for documenting
