Experienced Petroleum/Production Engineer

Vår Energi is seeking experienced Petroleum Engineers to join our subsurface team. Candidates are expected to work in multi-disciplinary teams and have a proven track record of adding value by integrating key subsurface data to optimize production, identify well intervention opportunities, assist in completion design and initial start-up of new wells. Main tasks

As a high-end contributor in multi-disciplinary teams, you will be the key focal point for production optimization for our operated assets.

Some of the key tasks to be solved are:

• Frequent communication with offshore Central Control Room and cross-disciplinary collaboration onshore (Subsurface, Operations, Facilities/Subsea, Drilling, etc.)
• Constantly monitor the performance of wells to find production optimization opportunities and reduce production losses
• Actively seek opportunities for incremental production through identification of well interventions
• Collaborate with D&W and Reservoir Engineering in designing both upper and lower completion for new wells and implementation of new technology
• Planning/performing initial well start-ups
• Specialist support within integrated asset modelling, pressure transient analysis, sand management, production chemistry etc.
• Provide Petroleum/Production Engineering technical input to field development projects.
• Responsible for allocation and production reporting
• Mentor early-career colleagues
• Participate in license meetings with external stakeholders as required

Qualifications

• > 15 years of relevant experience in Petroleum Engineering
• Masters/PhD Degree in Petroleum/Production Engineering
• Operational experience and preferably also experience from field development projects
• Relevant software competence
• Fluent English and Norwegian written and oral communication skills
