As a part of this, strategy we are growing when it comes to recycling of aluminum both at existing plants but also building new recycling plant.
Technology and Operational Support (TOS) unit in Hydro Aluminum Metal comprises around 190 highly skilled employees in Norway and Germany, with the main task to support commercial and operational units in improving profitability and sustainability.
In the Asset Management department in TOS we are strengthening our pool of reliability engineers, supporting the growth strategy in the recycling Business Unit with in Aluminum Metal.
The recent years we have had an intensive focus on digitalization of the maintenance processes, a digital maintenance toolbox is developed and will continuously be developed. You will be a central resource in the roll out and implementation of the tools in the toolbox to the plants, as a part of the Digital and Reliability Team.
We are hiring three reliability engineers. You can work either in Norway or abroad.
One of the positions can work from any Hydro Recycling Operations areas in Europe: Madrid, Dusseldorf, Leipzig, Wrexham or Luxembourg.
The other two can work at Vækerø in Oslo or at one of our smelters in Sunndal, Husnes, Årdal, Karmøy or Høyanger.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with plant teams to identify reliability improvement opportunities
- Implement maintenance strategi using digital tools and technology
- Be a part of a team owning tools such as RCM, FMECA and Criticality assessment
- Develop and maintain master (across plants) preventive plans on common assets
- Drive the development of key reliability value metrics to financial terms; Profit Loss and related risk
- Develop and preform training across sites in relevant topics
- Contribute as a resource to complement analysis in production to cover the asset perspective in Integrated Operational Support
Desired competencies
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
- Strong knowledge of digital solutions, data analytics and including knowledge in development and maintain algorithms and calculation for anomaly detection and condition monitoring.
- Proficiency in reliability software and tools (SAP PM, FMECA, RCM, HAZOP)
- Excellent problem-solving and communications skills
- Knowledge in a programming language (Python, C++, Mathlab, etc.) and Cloud Services in a Cloud Platform is preferable
- Proficient in written and spoken English and preferably a Scandinavian language
